PAC Roles & Responsibilities

Executive positions:

Chair
Vice-Chair

Treasurer (Co-Treasurer, if needed)
Secretary (Co-Secretary, if needed)
DPAC Rep (Co-DPAC Rep, if needed)

PAC Roles & Committee Members:

Web and Social Media Coordinator (Co-volunteer, if needed)
  • Main communication with emails, social media, WhatsApp, and website
  • Liaise with various members of PAC team to help with marketing and poster designs (if needed)

Hot Lunch Coordinator
  • Oversees the Hot Lunch Program
  • Vendor communication
  • Manages orders
  • Ordering window and menu set-up
  • Manages Hot Lunch Volunteer scheduling and back-up as needed
  • Oversees Hot Lunch Team (supports the HL Coordinator)
  • Troubleshoots issues 
  • Handles parent questions

Event Coordinator 
  • Involved with all PAC events
  • Network with parents
(Examples of past events include, but are not limited to: Craft Fair, Movie Night, School Dance)

Sports Day Coordinator
  • Liaise with school Sports Day Committee
  • PAC concession table
  • Food ordering for student volunteers
  • Organize Sports Day Volunteers 

Staff Appreciation Lunch Coordinator 
  • Liaise with principal and librarian
  • Menu for luncheon
  • Staff gifts
  • Decorations
  • Organize Appreciation Lunch Volunteers

Fundraising Coordinator (Lead position, networking with parents, liaise with principal only if the event is taking place on school property).
  • Involved with all fundraisers
  • Liaise with principal (if the fundraising occurs on school grounds)
  • Recruit volunteers as necessary
(Examples of past fundraisers include, but are not limited to: First Aid Kits, Purdy's, Domino's, Pedalheads, Read-a-thon, Walk-a-thon)

Other ways to get involved:

Kindergarten Orientation (PAC Exec speaks at Kindergarten Orientation)
  • Volunteer to assist with inserting PAC information into kindergarten’s orientation package
  • Liaise with school librarian
  • Network with parents

Grade 7 Grad Committee –
  • Separate committee formed by Grade 7 parents to fundraise for the grad event.
  • Liaise with Grade 7 teachers
  • Decorate the venue
  • Decide on menu
  • Oversee payments from Grade 7 parents and PAC sponsorship
​Some past fundraisers that the Grade 7 Grad Committee have run are: Chatime, Freezie, and Krispy Kreme fundraiser.
