Purdy's Winter Chocolate Fundraiser

It's the most DELICIOUS time of year… time to order Purdy's chocolates!
From now until November 3, you can order Purdy's treats from our fundraiser by joining our campaign and browsing the tastiest selection of Winter fundraising chocolates online. Shop gifts for family, friends, neighbours AND yourself in one convenient place. Your orders will be ready for pick up at November 14’s Craft Fair, in the gym from 2:30-4:30.

What you’ll need to order:

The Laurier Craft Market is an event that really brings the Laurier community together. The students get to showcase their creativity, talents, and craftsmanship through the variety of items they make themselves. Parents, teachers, and people from the community enjoy seeing what the kids make and listening to their witty sales pitch. We have seen how this event encourages innovative thinking and entrepreneurship. Through planning, making, and selling their own crafts, Laurier students experience what it is like to budget, set goals, and run a small business. In previous craft fairs, most Laurier students donated all their proceeds to a charity of their choice (e.g. the SPCA). Our kids truly showed what it means to SOAR! We would love your support in encouraging your child(ren) to take part in the upcoming craft market. The rental fee for a table is $20. Students can share a table with their friends; therefore splitting the cost. The PAC will provide a plastic tablecloth for each table. If students want something different, they are welcome to decorate their table with their own tablecloths and/or other decorative items.

Coinciding with the Great BC ShakeOut is the PAC’s newest fundraiser! Organized by the British Columbia Earthquake Alliance, the ShakeOut is an annual province-wide earthquake drill. This year, it takes place on October 16. Since we live in a seismically active region, it’s important to ensure that you and your family have an emergency preparedness plan in place.

Part of that plan should include an updated emergency kit. This year, the PAC is teaming up with Canadian Safety Supplies to bring you kits ranging from $5 to $100. Take this opportunity to make sure you and your family stay prepared.
