 The Laurier Craft Market is an event that really brings the Laurier community together. The students get to showcase their creativity, talents, and craftsmanship through the variety of items they make themselves. Parents, teachers, and people from the community enjoy seeing what the kids make and listening to their witty sales pitch. We have seen how this event encourages innovative thinking and entrepreneurship. Through planning, making, and selling their own crafts, Laurier students experience what it is like to budget, set goals, and run a small business. In previous craft fairs, most Laurier students donated all their proceeds to a charity of their choice (e.g. the SPCA). Our kids truly showed what it means to SOAR! We would love your support in encouraging your child(ren) to take part in the upcoming craft market. The rental fee for a table is $20. Students can share a table with their friends; therefore splitting the cost. The PAC will provide a plastic tablecloth for each table. If students want something different, they are welcome to decorate their table with their own tablecloths and/or other decorative items.
